Rietschle Thomas engineers solved the problem by using umbrella EPDM valves instead of the common but corrosion sensitive stainless steel valves. Also all aluminium parts of the 2119 are protected against corrosion by an epoxide coating. The pump console is plastic injected and gives the extremely compact pump a favourable and modern design.

The two-staged diaphragm pump reaches a free flow of 19 l/min and a maximum vacuum of -900mbar. It is suited solely for vacuum applications such as steam autoclaves, vacuum ovens, vacuum mixers and pumps for aspiration.

This new pump development from the successful diaphragm pump 2107 is available in nearly all world voltages.
