Rolling diaphragm pump SAPHYR: Pulsation-free with high pressure and flow

The first rolling diaphragm pump made by Rietschle Thomas Puchheim combines the advantages of rotary vane and diaphragm pumps: The "Saphyr” series has a high free flow and is low on pulsation and vibration, as well as gas-tight with high end pressure. Furthermore the compact model is very low on noise and competitively priced.

The Saphyr pump features a 3-cylinder-pot-diaphragm. The single pot diaphragms are moved one after another by the rolling drive, which results in a steady flow with low pulsation and vibration.

Proportional to it's small size (Ø 27 mm, length 70 mm) the pump achieves very good pneumatic data: 3,2 l/min free flow, 500 mbar pressure with remarkable flow of 1,5 l/min. Due to it's motor enclosure and a built-in resonator which damps the airborne sound at the intake port, the pump reaches a very low noise of only 45 dB (A).

The competitively priced model is available with integrated outlet filter and check valve. Diaphragm and valves are made out of EPDM, the motor can be obtained for 5,5 and 12 V.

The Saphyr pump was mainly designed for blood pressure devices (to inflate the cuffs). Due to it's flexible characteristics it is also suitable for a lot of other pressure applications that require high flow. Customised solutions (systems) are available in conjunction with additional components (e.g. valves).
