Gasoline vapor recovery is the process of capturing gasoline vapors emitted from a vehicle's fuel tank during the refueling process. Central gasoline vapor recovery systems are also installed at large processing facilities and tank farms. Vapor recovery prevents the formation of low-level ozone and the release of toxic air contaminants found in gasoline.
A switch detects pressure limitations inside the tanks and turns the compressor and off. The vapors are sucked through a scrubber where the liquid trapped is returned to the liquid pipeline system or to the tanks, and the vapor recovered is pumped into holding tanks.
All pumps are explosion-proof.
