A central vacuum system is made up of one or more vacuum pumps connected to a common manifold and/or vacuum receiver, which allows vacuum to be routed throughout the workplace where needed.  Piping systems can be straight run, or laid out in a circular fashion, depending on needs and layout of plant and equipment.
