These devices are used in the agriculture industry today and are attached to the tractor when a farmer is either seeding or applying chemicals to his crops. They produce a ball of foam that is dropped on the ground so the farmer can line up his tractor upon the return trip.  This will prevent the farmer from over seeding or applying too many chemicals.
